AWAKENING THE
HEART OF THE WOMB
A Sacred Return to Mayan Wisdom for Modern Women
May 17th - May 25th, 2026
This isn't a retreat. It's an immersion.
You won't leave the same woman who arrived. This is sacred, deep work: the kind that liberates you from what you've been carrying and reconnects you to the truth held in your womb, the land beneath your feet, and the lineage running through your blood.
In the mountains of Guatemala, where ancient ways are still alive, you'll be guided by real Mayan elders and traditional comadronas. Medicine passed down for generations: direct transmission from the women who hold it.
This is for the woman who's done the therapy, read the books, and knows there's something deeper calling. Whether you're navigating physical womb issues, holding grief you haven't spoken, or just fucking tired of being disconnected from yourself, you're ready for this.

The Work
This is an initiation.
You'll spend nine days steeped in ancestral womb wisdom: ceremony, healing, breathwork, and practices held sacred by Mayan midwives for lifetimes. We're not skimming the surface. We're going to the root.
You'll clear ancestral patterns that don't belong to you. Release trauma stored in your body. Remember the power that's always lived in your womb, whether physical or energetic. Reconnect with the land as medicine, with your lineage as a living thread, with yourself as whole.
Between ceremonies, there's space. Sacred waters to swim in. Quiet moments in the gardens. Nourishing meals. Integration time. This work will move you. It will crack you open. It will ask you to meet yourself fully.
And you'll be held through all of it.

The Medicine
Womb healing ceremonies with traditional comadronas who carry this wisdom in their bones, including traditional Mayan abdominal massage and temazcal.
Guided breathwork to unlock what's stuck. Daily circles where you're witnessed and held. Movement between Antigua's cobbled streets and Lake Atitlán's healing waters.
Real food prepared with intention. Space to rest, cry, laugh, remember.
This isn't about fixing you. It's about liberation. Reconnection. Coming home to the medicine you've always carried.
Even without a physical womb, your body remembers. The wisdom lives in your cells, your bones, your knowing.

Your Guides
Carlene Kanellis

Carlene is a medicine woman, breathwork facilitator, and ceremonial guide who bridges ancient wisdom with modern life. Trained in both Celtic/Druidic traditions and Mayan healing practices, she's spent four years working directly with Mayan medicine women in Guatemala, learning ceremony and womb healing. She creates containers where women remember their own medicine: not where she fixes them, but where they reclaim what's always been theirs. Her work cuts through spiritual bypassing and gets straight to the soul.
Lu Llanacito

Lucía is a holistic facilitator and project alchemist who specializes in gridwork: the alignment of energetic networks to anchor higher frequencies in the physical realm and open portals for collective healing. With Mexican roots, she honors her grandmother's path while blending it with contemporary ways of holding transformational space. With over eight years of experience working with Reiki, Heart Awakening Process, Access Bars Consciousness, quantum healing, and guided meditation, Lu helps people reconnect with their essence and break free from autopilot. She combines structure, energy, and inspiration to transform intentions into lived reality.
Maria Eugenia Gobbato

Maria Eugenia Gobbato (Mariu) is a dedicated mother, renowned midwife, massage therapist, healer, and teacher born and raised in Guatemala. After birthing her first two children in Catalunya, Spain, she discovered her deep calling to midwifery and moved to San Marcos La Laguna in 2010. For the past 13 years, she's apprenticed with local Maya midwives, herbalists, healers, and ajq'ij, integrating ancestral Maya medicine into her practice. Trained at CODECOT, a midwifery school founded by indigenous midwives for indigenous midwives, Mariu has attended births in her community for six years and founded The Midwife Project: a community-based association supporting indigenous midwives to provide high-quality, culturally appropriate healthcare. Her expertise includes Maya abdominal massage, reflexology, deep tissue massage, acupressure, chi nei tsang, reiki, energy medicine, and plant medicine. When you work with Mariu, time slows down. You feel more. You become deeply aware of your body, your surroundings, your womb as the source of creative life force energy. Throughout our time together, you'll also work with respected local comadronas and elders who carry these healing traditions through generations, offering authentic transmission of their ancestral wisdom.

The Land
Lake Atitlán (called "Atit," or Grandmother, by the Maya). Surrounded by three volcanoes: Toliman (masculine wisdom), Atitlán (feminine healing), San Pedro (integration). A natural energy vortex. The womb of the world.
We stay at a luxury lakefront villa in San Marcos la Laguna. Private access to sacred waters, panoramic views of the lake and volcanoes, spacious rooms, lush gardens, and gathering spaces designed for connection. The perfect space to be held as we move through each day.
This is deep ceremonial work in a container that honors your body's need for rest and ease. Ancient land meets real comfort.

The Invitation
You feel the pull. That's why you're here.
Maybe you know exactly why: there's healing your womb is asking for, grief that needs to move, power waiting to be reclaimed. Maybe you just feel the call without knowing why yet. Maybe you're remembering something you once knew but forgot along the way.
All of it is welcome. All of it belongs.
You'll be held by the land, guided by women who carry real medicine, surrounded by sisters on the same path.
We're taking eight women. That's it. Small enough that every woman can be truly seen and held. When you know, you know.
May you trust the call that brought you here.
May you honor the courage it takes to say yes.
May you remember what your body has always known.
The journey home begins now.
